A few Fridays back, I got to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime meal at Vibiana with the culinary stars of Los Angeles. The event, Taste America, featured a menu by an incredible crew of noteworthy chefs – including James Beard Award Winner Aarón Sánchez, Nancy Silverton, Matt Molina and Dahlia Narvaez -- and benefitted the James Beard Foundation.

I’m a huge fan of the James Beard Foundation. While Cheeky’s brand new to the scene, the James Beard Foundation has been working since 1986 to celebrate, nurture, and honor America's diverse culinary heritage. A portion of the Taste America proceeds go toward the James Beard Foundation's awesome Taste America Scholarship Fund.
