At Cheeky we’re always looking get people around a table to enjoy a meal, have meaningful conversations, and make a difference. Leading up to the launch of our first ever Holiday Party Collection, we knew we wanted to host a Gather for Good Lunch with our Chief Culinary Ambassador, Mario Batali.
At a Gather for Good lunch or dinner we hope to bring people who may or may not know about the status of hunger in the U.S. We sit down, share a meal, and spark a conversation around the issue. Most importantly, we invite creatives to think outside the box and hope to inspire them to spread the word and take action. Whether it’s sharing with their friends, hosting their own Gather for Good event, volunteering at a local hunger relief organization, or donating the ways to help out are limitless.
While in Los Angeles for the launch of his latest book, BIG American Cookbook, Mario and the Cheeky team hosted a Gather for Good at chi SPACCA with our good friends from Food Friends LA. Food Friends LA is an incredible group of industry professionals and insiders part of the LA culinary world. We had a delicious meal curating by Mario and his team served on our new Cheeky Holiday Party plates, and had incredible conversations about making mealtime matter. Mario and PJ Brice, Cheeky’s CEO, shared their personal stories on why they are committed to the fight against hunger.
