The Cheeky Team is headed to Coachella and while we’re packing our bags, we want to make sure you’re also ready for everything “Festival Season” has to offer. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a desert with no water and uncomfortable shoes, so we’ve prepared 10 “must haves” to maximize your concert-going experience.
You’re going to want to stay hydrated so pack as much water as possible in your car in a cooler. Inside the actual event, it’ll be handy to have a Camelbak or collapsible water bottle to refill at water stations.
2. COMFORTABLE SHOES
The festival itself is massive, so you’ll be getting quite a workout walking everywhere. Take care of your feet and choose comfortable shoes.
3. SUN PROTECTION
When you’re in the desert, shade is a hot commodity. Coachella will have some shady spots set up for you, but chances are you’ll be in the sun for most of the event. Protect yourself with a good sunscreen, a big hat, and sunglasses. Your skin will thank you.
It’s dusty out there, so keep a scarf or bandana handy to cover your face when a dust storm strikes.
5. PHONE CHARGER
If you’re using your phone to snap photos and videos, you’ll likely run out of battery on your phone quickly. Coachella will have charging stations but you’ll have to BYOC – bring your own charger. You can also dim your phone’s screen and shut down unnecessary apps to save battery power.
6. CLOTHING FOR DAY AND NIGHT
Coachella is in the desert, so expect temperatures to be hot during the day, and cold at night. To prepare for both extremes, pack a warmer layer that’s light-weight and easy to carry.
7. WIPES AND TOILET PAPER
You know that there’s never enough toilet paper in the port-a-potties! Cover your arse. Carry some toilet paper to go. Wet wipes are also a great idea for cleaning your hands, wiping off sweat, and managing those gnarly desert boogers.
8. EAR PLUGS
Protect those eardrums! Quality earplugs will let you enjoy the music without going deaf. The DUBS by Doppler Labs debuted specifically for Coachella and lower the volume to comfortable levels without sacrificing the quality of music that you came to hear.
9. CHAFING PREVENTION
Let’s face it. Sweating in the desert plus rubbing thighs make for an unpleasant situation. Prevent chafe by arming yourself with spandex or an ointment like Body Glide.
And you can’t forget Cheeky! Our products are perfect if you’re camping out and will make mealtime so much more fun. Have a great time and help us end hunger – for every Cheeky pack you buy, we’ll give one meal.
